Michael returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend. As the two men get to know each other, he becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand.
the real problem with this movie is the hope that we will understand why a smart woman would allow pretty much a total stranger to move into her life space and live amongst her and her children. the script takes for granted that the viewer will buy just about anything..and most of the time we do. this had some moments..the ending, meaning that part of every movie where all the problems and loose ends tie together, was way too fast and very predictable. very. the original is a far better film. thrilling perhaps, but the only horror part of this film i feel was my having taken the full 90 minutes to watch it.
Right there’s nothing new here. This stuff is as old as the hills. The original wasn’t even ground breaking in it’s day. But one thing for sure is, the whole thing is very amusing. And they didn’t do such a bad rendition here either. I laughed anyway. 6/10.
